Merit Badges From Our 1st Trip
What were Chris and Lisa's most challenging moments?

Updated on: Oct 15, 2003

Here is a list of some of our most challenging moments on our first half of our trip from 2002-2003.

Rafting down the Class 5 Zambezi River in Zimbabwe, Africa
(Lisa’s 1st river rafting trip)

Chris caught a bad case of the Asian Flu in Vietnam at the beginning of SARS
Jungle trekking on the leach invested Head Hunter’s Trail in Mulu Park, Borneo
Not wetting our pants while being charged by elephants in Kenya, Africa
Asian toilets and traveler's stomach, need I say more?
Swimming in the crock infested Okavango Delta in Botswana, Africa

Surviving a sever allergic reaction to some bad tuna in a remote town on the Island Flores. - Your probably asking yourself where the hell is Flores? We didn’t know either till we traveled there. Flores is in Indonesia next to Komodo Island where the dragons live.

Not having a heart attach while almost having a head on collision with a full grown Giraffe in Kenya, Africa
Caving for 6 hours in the Mulu National Park, Borneo
Living to tell the story of getting food poisoning from street vendor food in Luang Prabong, Laos
Surviving the heat in Siem Reap, Cambodia while visiting the Ankor Ruins
Trying to find something to eat in Stone Town, Zanzibar during the height of Ramadan (Muslim Holiday where they fast all day)
