This is a small list of our favorite places we experienced on the first half of our 2002-2003 trip.

Favorite Wildlife Parks

• Monkeyland, Plettenburg Bay, South Africa - Monkeys, apes and more monkeys
  
• Taita Hills and Tsavo National Park, Kenya - Lions and Elephants
  
• Etosha Salt Pan National Park, Northern Namibia - Giraffe, Lions, Rhinos, Elephants
  
• Bako National Park, Outside of Kuching, Malaysian Borneo - Probiscus Monkey
  

Favorite Beaches

• Northern Beaches on the Island of Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand
  
• All beaches on the Island of Koh Phi Phi, Thailand
  
• Dreamland Beach, Bali - Surfers beach so not great for swimming, just watching the surfers do their thing and killer sunsets.
  

Favorite Snorkeling and Diving

• Blue Bay, Mauritius - Snorkeling
  
• Around the Islands of Flores and Komodo Island, Indonesia - Diving
  

Favorite Cultural Sites

• The Ruins of the Lost Khmer civilization of Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia
  
• Entire City of Luang Prabang, Laos
  
• Cu Chi Tunnels outside Saigon, Vietnam
  
• Township tour (relocation camp ) Windhoek, Namibia
  

Favorite Adventure Activites

• Rafting down the Mighty Zambezi River, Zimbabwe
  
• Caving for 6 hours in Gunung Mulu Park in Malaysian Borneo
  
• Sand boarding in Windhoek, Namibia
  

Favorite Sunsets

• Sitting on top of one of the hundreds of temples in Bagan, Burma
  
• Watching the wildlife and tree become silloutees as the sky turned orange- Taita Rukinga Ranch, Kenya
